Thai Scout Kindness Activities During 20thJamboree Months |

During December 28, 2002 to January 7, 2003, Thailand will host the 20th World Scout Jamboree at the seaside resort of Sattahip. ,Cholburi Province where more than 20,000 scouts from over 70 countries around the world will join the event, and approximately 5,000 Thai scouts will have an opportunity to meet their foreign scout brothers and sisters in the jamboree.
Since
there are over a million Scouts in Thailand who cannot participate in
the 20th World Jamboree at Sattahip due to the space limitation,
The Ministry of Education of Thailand is arranging a project called
The project will involve more than 1,000,000 Thai scouts and village scouts from all over Thailand to perform over 20,000 kindness activities during December 1, 2002 to January 31, 2003 according to the second Scout Promise ….. “ On my honor I promise to do my best: To help other people at all times.”

Activity 2 Send our heart to the JamboreeThai scouts who cannot go to the Jamboree are invited to make their own handicraft souvenir and let the one who will attend the Jamboree to give away or exchange with foreign scout friends at the Jamboree.(the idea follows a recommendation from the Singapore scout chief ) Activity 3 Scout Tourist Guide (coordinated by the Department of General Education) Thai scouts in Tourist spots provinces are prepared to volunteer as Scout Tourist Guides to provide free service to foreign scouts and their families who may want to travel all over Thailand before and after the Jamboree, This will be arranged by internet correspondence. The languages available are English, French, Japanese and Chinese.
